The Evansville Memorial Tigers put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They slipped by Mater Dei 49-48.
Evansville Memorial was led to victory by Sophie Johnson and Avery Kelley. Johnson scored 13 points, while Kelley scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. The matchup was Kelley's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Evansville Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Mater Dei, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evansville Memorial will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Washington at 6:30 p.m. on November 28th. Washington will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Mater Dei, they will head out on the road to face off against Belleville West at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Belleville West comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
