Valley Park extended their winning streak to nine on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 12-2 in the process. They were the clear victors by a 16-8 margin over the Valmeyer Pirates. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won ten matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

As for Valmeyer, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly eight runs.

For Valmeyer's part, Landon Roy made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Ripken Voelker was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Looking ahead, Valley Park will head out to challenge DeSoto at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Valmeyer, they will challenge Marissa/Coulterville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Meteors have now posted at least ten runs in their last five games.
