There's no place like home for the Shanksville Stonycreek Vikings, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 44-31 win over Rockwood on Monday. This was payback for Shanksville Stonycreek, who suffered a 62-43 defeat the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Christian Musser, who scored 15 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. Musser is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Grant Boozer, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Despite the defeat, Rockwood had strong showings from Riley Fazenbaker, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Zander Ritenour, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Fazenbaker continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Shanksville Stonycreek pushed their record up to 7-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Rockwood, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Salisbury Elk Lick the next time they take the court. Rockwood will head out to face Salisbury Elk Lick at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Shanksville Stonycreek will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
