In what's become a running theme this season, the Edinburg Bobcats gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They claimed a resounding 65-9 victory over La Joya on the road. The win was nothing new for Edinburg as they're now sitting on 12 straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Edinburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kimora Fagan, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Fagan has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Emily Carranco was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.
Edinburg's win was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 27-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.53 points. As for La Joya, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-24 record this season.
Edinburg will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Edinburg North at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Edinburg North focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Tuesday. As for La Joya, they will head out on the road to take on Economedes at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Economedes is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
