Meanwhile, while Salinas put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for King's Academy. The Cowboys came out on top in a nail-biter against the Knights, sneaking past 1-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cowboys.
The result came thanks to Abi Jones's shutout, as she gave up just five hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Salinas' win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kelsie Domenighini, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.
Liberty's record now sits at 25-4. As for Salinas, their record is now 20-8.
Salinas' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Liberty has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .441. It's a different story for Salinas, though, as they've only averaged .343.
