The Frederick Cadets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Governor Thomas Johnson on the road to the tune of 64-23. The victory was just business as usual for Frederick, who after five games remain undefeated this season.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zoe Nso, who scored four points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nso has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakotah Bright Brubaker, who scored six points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Governor Thomas Johnson struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Frederick's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Governor Thomas Johnson, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frederick will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Linganore at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th. Linganore is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Governor Thomas Johnson, they will head out on the road to face off against Oakdale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
