It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Columbus had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past the Nixon-Smiley Mustangs 64-42. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Grace Gomez and Janaelyn White certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Gomez went 5-for-9 en route to 13 points, while White posted eight points and four steals. What's more, Gomez also posted a 60% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in November of 2024.

The win was the third in a row for Columbus, bringing their record for this year to 27-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points over those games. As for Nixon-Smiley, their loss dropped their record down to 14-20.

Coming up, Columbus will take on Hondo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Nixon-Smiley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
