Beecher is 6-0 against Atherton since March of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Beecher Buccaneers will head out on the road to face off against the Atherton Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Beecher is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Atherton in Michigan (Beecher is ranked 154th, while Atherton is ranked 712th).
Last Tuesday, everything went Beecher's way against Bentley as Beecher made off with a 61-35 win. 61 seems to be a good number for Beecher as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Atherton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight defeat. They fell just short of Genesee by a score of 52-50.
Beecher is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Atherton, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-14.
Everything came up roses for Beecher against Atherton in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 109-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Beecher since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
