The Miramar Patriots will be playing at home against the Belen Jesuit Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Miramar rose to the challenge on Thursday. They didn't even let American onto the board and left with a 23-0 win. Miramar might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six matchups by 23 points or more this season.
South Broward typically have all the answers at home, but on Thursday Belen Jesuit proved too difficult a challenge. Belen Jesuit came out on top against South Broward by a score of 20-13. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Belen Jesuit.
Belen Jesuit can attribute much of their success to Khamani Alexander, who rushed for 232 yards.
The win (which was Miramar's third in a row) raised their record to 7-4. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31 points. As for Belen Jesuit, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
