When it comes to explaining why West Feliciana lost, one person who can't be blamed is Arieonia Ebbs. Despite the final result, she scored 26 points. Ebbs scored a full 44.1% of West Feliciana's points, the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Nevaeh London was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Suncoast was led to victory by Philleah Bright and Keyanna Goss. Bright scored 19 points along with nine rebounds, while Goss scored 22 points along with nine rebounds. The contest was Bright's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Trejor Street, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
West Feliciana has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Suncoast, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Feliciana and Zachary will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Zachary will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. As for Suncoast, they will head out on the road to face off against Forest Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
