Meanwhile, Franklin has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.09 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came up short against Edsel Ford, falling 16-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Patriots have suffered since May 4, 2024.
Ryan Davis was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times he's played. Landon Ruhl was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.
Having lost for the first time this season, Franklin fell to 10-1. As for Wayne Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.
