The Lowellville Rockets's 21-3 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were outmatched by John F. Kennedy Catholic on the road and fell 68-27. Lowellville has not had much luck with John F. Kennedy Catholic recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead John F. Kennedy Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nick Ryan, who scored 19 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Ryan has scored at least 25% of John F. Kennedy Catholic's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Rishel, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Lowellville now has a losing record at 1-2. As for John F. Kennedy Catholic, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lowellville will be home for the holidays to greet Waterloo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. John F. Kennedy Catholic will take on Archbishop Hoban at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
