The Batavia Bulldogs will head out on the road to  take on  the Goshen Warriors at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Batavia is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
 On Thursday,  it was close, but  Batavia sidestepped Hillsboro for  a  5-4 win.
 Batavia got a great performance from  Max Rash as he  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out six over 5.1 innings pitched. Rash has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Brayden Schmittou was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run, two  stolen bases,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Mason Patrick, who  scored a  run and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Goshen fell victim to New Richmond and their airtight pitching crew  last Wednesday. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of  2-0. Having soared to a lofty ten  runs in the game before, Goshen's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Batavia has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record  this season. As for Goshen, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
 Batavia took their  victory against Goshen  in their previous meeting  on April 3rd by a conclusive  9-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Batavia since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
