This season hasn't been kind to The Liberty Redhawks, who are still winless after their eighth matchup. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 30-13 to Centennial. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Liberty in their matchups with Centennial: they've now lost five in a row.
Harry Stewart iii was a one-man wrecking crew for Centennial as he rushed for 169 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Tyler Hughes did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 83 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Liberty's loss was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8. As for Centennial, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Lebanon Trail the next time they take the field. Liberty will host Lebanon Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Centennial will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
