On Friday Independence take on Byhalia at Camo Out & Military Appreciation Game at 7:00 PM. Independence is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.
Independence suffered a grim 18-44 defeat to Senatobia last Friday. Independence's defeat came about despite a quality game from sophomore Kylan Garrett, who rushed for 84 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Byhalia might have drawn first blood against Center Hill, but it was Center Hill who got the last laugh. Byhalia fell to Center Hill 14-23. The game was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but Byhalia was outplayed the rest of the way.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the victory. We'll see which team satisfies that hunger and which team leaves with an empty belly.
