The Basis Yeti have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season. They breezed by Bagdad on the road to the tune of 56-19. The win was nothing new for Basis as they're now sitting on three straight.
Leading Basis to victory were Daniel Quiroz and Jack Engelthaler. Quiroz scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Engelthaler dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Engelthaler has scored at least 25% of Basis' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Marvel, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Basis' win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Bagdad, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.
Basis will be playing in front of their home fans against Shonto Prep at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bagdad, they will head out on the road to face off against Anthem Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
