Richland (Johnstown, Pa.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as
Tanner Solarczyk ran for a touchdown with less than a minute remaining, bringing the team to victory over
Bishop McCort (Johnstown, Pa.) 17-10.
The Crushers pulled ahead on a field goal, and subsequently went into halftime leading 3-0. The Rams scored the winning points with a touchdown run by Solarczyk that came in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring 10 points in the third, Richland still trailed by 7 points going into the fourth quarter. But seven points in the fourth helped RHS pull out the victory.
Solarczyk played well for the Rams in the victory. The junior running back ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.
Bishop McCort's lone touchdown came on a run in the fourth quarter.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 35-28 win for Richland.
The loss comes after Bishop McCort defeated Bedford 38-14 last week.
Richland (5-0) goes up against Somerset in a Laurel Highlands game matchup next week, while Bishop McCort (3-2) locks horns with Westmont Hilltop also in a Laurel Highlands game.
