They were outmatched by Columbia County Christian at home and fell 67-30. Walnut Street Christian has not had much luck with Columbia County Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Columbia County Christian found their leader in underclassman Pierce Cughan, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Cughan hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Clay Farley, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Walnut Street Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Columbia County Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.
Walnut Street Christian will head out on the road to take on Juniata Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Juniata Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Columbia County Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Maranatha Mennonite Christian at 7:30 p.m.
