Dayton entered their tilt with Pomeroy on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 23-3 win. The game marked the Bulldogs' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Marissa Tupling was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Tupling was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Tupling is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cindi Howard, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances. Dayton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.

Dayton now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Pomeroy, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Dayton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pirates: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
