The Whitman Vikings entered their tilt with the Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Whitman strolled past Seneca Valley with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 48-33. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Whitman also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2019.
Seneca Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mina Hashemzadeh, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Brielle Watson, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Whitman has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Seneca Valley, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3.
Whitman will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Walter Johnson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Seneca Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Northwood at 7:15 p.m. on January 30th. Northwood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 268th, while Seneca Valley is ranked 54th).
