Basketball Recap: SIUE East St. Louis Charter Sets Scoring Season-High Against North County Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask SIUE East St. Louis Charter). They took their game on Saturday with ease, bagging an 81-39 victory over North County Christian. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

SIUE East St. Louis Charter got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kejuan Rives out in front who went 10 for 13 en route to 22 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Those six assists gave Rives a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Travis Harrell, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 18 points and seven steals.

SIUE East St. Louis Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

SIUE East St. Louis Charter's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for North County Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.
