Martin Luther King got themselves on the board against Science Leadership Academy at Beeber on Friday, but Science Leadership Academy at Beeber never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Rockets with a sharp 7-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Martin Luther King pushed their record up to 6-0-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Science Leadership Academy at Beeber, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Coincidentally, Martin Luther King and Science Leadership Academy at Beeber will both be playing Boys' Latin Charter the next time they take the field. The Cougars will host Boys' Latin Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Rockets will head out to face them at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
