The Poudre Community Academy Warriors can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against Ascent Classical Academy by a score of 47-34. The victory was just what Poudre Community Academy needed coming off of a 82-10 defeat in their prior game.
Poudre Community Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Miguel Apolonio out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Armando Granados-Porter, who scored five points along with 12 steals and six assists.
Poudre Community Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Ascent Classical Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Poudre Community Academy will be playing at home against Wellington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wellington is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Ascent Classical Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Mile High Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
