Cisco is 7-0 against the Pied Pipers since January of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Cisco Loboes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hamlin Pied Pipers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Cisco gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 76-36 victory over Haskell. Given Cisco's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 747th, while the Indians are ranked 1533rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Even though Hamlin has not done well against the Tigers recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Hamlin had just enough and edged the Tigers out 49-47. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hamlin.
Hamlin can attribute much of their success to Luke White, who scored 13 points, and AJ Rivera, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Kyson McGee, who scored 11 points.
Cisco pushed their record up to 16-8 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points per game. As for Hamlin, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-19.
Everything came up roses for Cisco against the Pied Pipers in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 93-47 victory. Will Cisco repeat their success, or do the Pied Pipers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
