Abbott RVT has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Classical Magnet Gladiators at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Abbott RVT will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings (they are ranked 91st, while Classical Magnet is ranked 27th).
Abbott RVT's 15-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 69-54 bruising from Brookfield on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Classical Magnet waltzed into their contest Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Capital Prep by a score of 60-52.
Abbott RVT's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Classical Magnet, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Abbott RVT beat Classical Magnet 67-54 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Abbott RVT since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
