Community had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with a 41-31 victory over the Sturgeon Bulldogs. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Community's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points per game. As for Sturgeon, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.

Community will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Madison at 6:00 p.m. on January 14, 2025. Sturgeon has already played their next game, a 40-38 defeat against Pilot Grove on the 19th.
