After five games on the road, Norrix is heading back home. They will take on the Gull Lake Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Norrix has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 444 points over their last six matchups.
Even though Jackson scored an imposing 68 points on Monday, Norrix still came out on top. Norrix escaped with a win against Jackson by the margin of a single free throw, 69-68. The win was all the more spectacular given Norrix's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while Jackson is ranked 101st).
Gull Lake suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 88-57 loss at the hands of Mattawan. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Norrix's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-6. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.33 points across that stretch. As for Gull Lake, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Norrix couldn't quite finish off Gull Lake when the teams last played back in December of 2023 and fell 55-52. Can Norrix avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
