The Kenton Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 47-46 to Bluffton. Kenton has struggled against Bluffton recently, as their match on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Bluffton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ayla Grandey out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Grandey has scored at least 25% of Bluffton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Blair Utendorf, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Kenton now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Bluffton, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-5.
Kenton will take on Bath at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bath is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Bluffton, they will take on Ada at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
