The St. Cloud Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 59-25 victory over Master's Academy on the road. Given St. Cloud's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Master's Academy is ranked 200th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
St. Cloud can attribute much of their success to Arianna Viera, who scored 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Lockey, who scored ten points along with four steals.
St. Cloud has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Master's Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.
St. Cloud is on the road again on Thursday and play against Osceola at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th. Osceola is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for Master's Academy, they will be playing at home against Rockledge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
