The Spanish Fort Toros will be playing at home against the Theodore Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Spanish Fort has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Tuesday, Spanish Fort earned a 56-45 victory over Robertsdale.
Spanish Fort's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacob Black, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Black has scored all season. Joshua Powell was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Theodore had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 61-60 photo finish over Blount. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Theodore got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Walter Cobb out in front who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden "JJ" Bush, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
The win got Spanish Fort back to even at 10-10. As for Theodore, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.
Spanish Fort came out on top in a nail-biter against Theodore when the teams last played back in December of 2020, sneaking past 66-63. Will Spanish Fort repeat their success, or does Theodore have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
