Howard fell to Westside 7-24 the last time the two teams met; this time around, they exacted some revenge. Howard came out on top against Westside with a 28-21.
Howard's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 21 points in the first half. Westside matched them to leave it all tied up at 21-21. The other side of the ball was dominant for Howard in the second half, holding Westside to a measly 0 points.
Senior Quintan Sewell, who threw 3 TDs and picked up 58 yards on the ground, was a major factor in Howard's success. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior Isaiah Edwards, who racked up 10 tackles. The win bumped Howard's record up to 3-1. The loss dropped Westside back to even at 2-2.
Next week Howard take on Jackson at 7:30 PM. Westside will have some time to rest before their next contest, which is against Rutland in two weeks at 7:30 PM.
