The South-Doyle Cherokees lost against the Carter Green Hornets back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. South-Doyle took a hard 49-34 fall against the Green Hornets.
Leading Carter to victory were Lily Lampkin and Marah Yeo. Lampkin scored ten points along with seven rebounds, while Yeo scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Yeo is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ivey Jones, who scored 11 points.
South-Doyle has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Carter, their win bumped their record up to 5-19.
South-Doyle will be playing at home against the Redskins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Carter, they will head out on the road to take on the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
