Newton County Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They put the hurt on the Benton Academy Raiders with a sharp 36-14 victory. For the Generals, this counts as revenge for the 37-14 win the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2020.

Coming up, Newton County Academy will venture away from home to challenge Russell Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Benton Academy, they will take on Columbus Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
