Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Powdersville walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Mountain View Prep Stars 61-30. The Patriots are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 16 straight.
Powdersville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Raegan Bryant, who went 8-for-18 to rack up 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals. Bryant is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 18 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Sweet, who posted 20 points along with eight assists and five boards.
Powdersville's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.4 points. As for Mountain View Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-22 record this season.
Coming up, Powdersville will welcome Woodruff at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
