Buckley had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bear Lake Lakers on Thursday. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Lakers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Buckley not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Bear Lake between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-16.

Coming up, Buckley will challenge Reed City at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bear Lake, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Brethren on the 21st.
