The North Fork Miners lost against the Crested Butte Titans back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. North Fork was outmatched by Crested Butte at home and fell 64-33. North Fork was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.
Several Miners players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Henry Hollembeak, who scored 4 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nick Poutre, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
North Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Crested Butte, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Fork will face off against Vail Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Crested Butte, they will head out on the road to face off against Caprock Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Caprock Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Saturday.
