Liberty Ranch is 8-2 against the Wolverine since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Liberty Ranch Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rosemont Wolverine at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in California (Liberty Ranch is ranked 833rd, while the Wolverine are ranked 852nd).
Last Friday, Liberty Ranch came up short against the Cougars and fell 61-51.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Yousef Diab, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Elliott Hawker, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Rosemont scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Galt, posting a 84-30 victory at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Rosemont has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rosemont to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nick Wafula, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Wafula hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Amahd Ellis was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.
Liberty Ranch has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season. As for Rosemont, they pushed their record up to 8-15 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's game: Liberty Ranch have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 37.6% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Rosemont, though, as they've only made 12.8% of their threes this season. Given Liberty Ranch's sizable advantage in that area, the Wolverine will need to find a way to close that gap.
