The Pleasanton Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 42-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Carrizo Springs. Pleasanton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Carrizo Springs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Carrizo Springs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Melanie Davila, who scored 11 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds. The matchup was Davila's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adisyn Reyes, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds.
Pleasanton has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Carrizo Springs, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasanton is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Charlotte at 6:15 p.m. on December 5th. Hopefully Charlotte focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday. As for Carrizo Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Nueces Canyon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Nueces Canyon will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
