The third road match was the charm for the Indian Creek Redskins, as they earned their first road win of the season. They snuck past Bellaire with a 51-46 win on Tuesday. For Indian Creek, this counts as revenge for the 56-49 loss Bellaire walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Bellaire still got an impressive performance from Mac Pettigrew, who scored 19 points along with seven steals. Pettigrew scored a full 41.3% of Bellaire's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Indian Creek's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6. As for Bellaire, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Indian Creek will head out on the road to face off against Harrison Central at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Harrison Central will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Bellaire, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Union Local at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Union Local focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
