Baseball Recap: Alhambra Wins Going Away Against Kellis

It was a proper cat-fight when Alhambra duked it out with Kellis on Thursday. Everything went the Alhambra Lions' way against the Kellis Cougars as the Alhambra Lions made off with a 12-1 win.

Hector Villanueva was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI and two doubles. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicolas Reyes, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

The victory got Alhambra back to even at 1-1. As for Kellis, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Alhambra will face off against Centennial at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Kellis has already played their next matchup (against Thunderbird), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
