The Willis Wildkats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. Their tough 48-24 defeat to Conroe might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Willis can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1319th, while Conroe is ranked 646th).
Among those leading the charge was Makenzie Castille, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Alisa Sneed was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Willis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Conroe, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10.
Willis will square off against Grand Oaks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Conroe, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against The Woodlands at 6:30 p.m.
