Volleyball Recap: C.B. Aycock's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

After flying high against Southern Wayne on Monday, C.B. Aycock came back down to earth. The Golden Falcons fell 3-1 to the Hunt Warriors on Tuesday. The Golden Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

While C.B. Aycock ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 21-25, 25-23, 25-20.

C.B. Aycock lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ella Moyer, who had 27 digs and three assists. She has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayu Stanton, who had ten assists and nine digs.

Maddie Bennett had a dynamite game For Hunt., getting 23 digs and four aces.

With the loss, C.B. Aycock broke their six-match winning streak and moved their record to 13-11. As for Hunt, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-11.

C.B. Aycock didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Rockingham County on the 18th. As for Hunt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Southern Nash on the 15th.
