The Archbishop McNicholas Rockets waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They walked away with a 69-60 victory over Bishop Fenwick. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Archbishop McNicholas was led to victory by Charlie Clark and Andrew Ehlers. Clark scored 23 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Ehlers scored 30 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ehlers has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mitchell Conrad, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.
Archbishop McNicholas is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Bishop Fenwick, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Archbishop McNicholas will take on Archbishop Alter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bishop Fenwick, they will be playing at home against Wyoming at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wyoming is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
