Therrell took a 66-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Therrell has struggled against the Eagles recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Therrell lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Andrew Taylor, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Taylor hasn't dropped below 22 points for five straight games. Torey Baisden was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Gabe Bolden was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with six steals and five rebounds for North Cobb Christian. Another player making a difference was Grant Robich, who scored six points along with seven assists and four steals.
Therrell has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 14 of their last 17 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season. As for North Cobb Christian, their win bumped their record up to 15-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Therrell will face off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Cobb Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
