For the second straight game, Columbiana will face off against Southern. The Clippers will venture away from home to challenge the Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Columbiana will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
On Monday, Columbiana made easy work of Southern and carried off a 16-6 win. The Clippers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by eight runs or more this season.

Reese Roush and Sam Inboden were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Roush struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Meanwhile, Inboden pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Columbiana is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 5-9 otherwise. At bat, Roush went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Inboden went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Roush a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hunter Davanzo, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Max Conway, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Columbiana always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.
Columbiana's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Southern, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Columbiana has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Southern struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
