The Cocoa Beach Minutemen will head out on the road to take on the Bayside Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Cocoa Beach will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Titusville, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Minutemen blew past the Terriers 13-3 on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Minutemen as they're now sitting on four straight.

Zoe Vella made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Vella was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Cocoa Beach let Isabella Deese and Kaelin Goslin run wild. Deese scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Goslin scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Deese also hit a double, marking her first of the season.
Cocoa Beach kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Bayside got the win against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy on Wednesday by a conclusive 18-3. The Bears have beaten the Tigers the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.
NICOLE GARCIA made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. GARCIA was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base.
In other batting news, CAYDEN PLATT was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was JORDYN MILO, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Cocoa Beach's record now sits at 10-7. As for Bayside, their record is now 7-8.
Cocoa Beach suffered a grim 19-0 defeat to Bayside in their previous meeting back in March of 2021. Can the Minutemen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
