Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Battle Creek Academy and ten for Will Carleton Academy dating back to last season.
Last Thursday, Battle Creek Academy came up short against Factoryville Christian and fell 43-33. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Battle Creek Academy in their matchups with Factoryville Christian: they've now lost seven in a row.

Will Carleton Academy suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 51-19 loss at the hands of Factoryville Christian. While losing is never fun, Will Carleton Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 689th, while Factoryville Christian is ranked 268th).
Battle Creek Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Will Carleton Academy, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-9.
Everything came up roses for Battle Creek Academy against Will Carleton Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 44-13 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Battle Creek Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
