Basketball Recap: Murphysboro Has No Trouble Against Century

Murphysboro had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 45-27 victory over the Century Centurions. The matchup marked the Red Devils' most dominant win of the season so far.

Several Centurions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaylee Vanmeter, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Stoner, who put up six points.

Murphysboro's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Century, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Murphysboro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-33 loss against Harrisburg on the 19th. As for Century, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 42-35 win against Cobden on the 19th.
