3A Region 7 recap Nov. 7, 2012
Hazlehurst extended the longest winning streak in 3A Region 7 this week by beating Raleigh, 35-0. The victory was the 12th in a row for the Indians.
Hazlehurst took down the Lions 35-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Thanks to the talents of Kenneth Coleman and Demetrius Cain Randal Montgomery's team has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Coleman leads the league in passing with 1827 yards, while Cain has rushed for 1065 yards this season. Wilkinson County's Allenzae Staggers leads the league in receiving yards with 709 on 45 catches.
Entering into this week's contest against Sumrall, Coleman is short just 173 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.
The Wildcats led the league in scoring this week after putting up 58 points on Morton.
