Volleyball Recap: Plano's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Plano won the last time they faced Sandwich, and Keiry Alcala did her part to make sure it happened again. The Reapers won by a set and slipped past the Indians 2-1 for which the team can thank Alcala, who had 11 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Sandwich lost on Saturday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Rylee Huml, who had four digs and three aces.

Plano moved to 2-4 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Sandwich, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Plano has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Marengo on the 3rd. As for Sandwich, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Somonauk on the 2nd.
